From Smithtown: Mall Puppy Store Back on State’s Good Side

A new pet shop in the Smith Haven Mall has passed its recent state inspections after being cited in May for not logging veterinary care for several sick puppies in the shop.

State inspectors visited the American Dog Club soon after its May opening, and according to the state reports, four sick puppies were in isolation without documentation supporting treatment deemed by a veterinarian, a critical violation.

The chic, modern salon is a local version of Manhattan’s popular dry bars, in which customers come in for a wash and styled blowout, except that at $25, Blowout 22 is much more affordable than the city’s salons, which charge about $40. 

From Three Village: East Setauket Gym to Relocate

A sign in the window of Long Island Strength and Conditioning announces the gym will be relocating to a space on Technology Drive. Its move means two gyms departed back-to-back from the location at 209 Main Street in East Setauket. On the Go Fitness closed in mid-2011.

From Commack: Crooked Hill Road Farm Stand Open

Carla's Farm Stand, located on Crooked Hill Road in Commack, officially opened June 28.

The farm stand has been around for almost seven years, said Keith DeMartino, who runs the farm stand with Carla.
