Fundraiser Set for SBU's Marie Colvin Center
School of Journalism program will be formed in Marie Colvin's memory.
Stony Brook's School of Journalism on Thursday will hold a tribute to Marie Colvin and a fundraiser to establish the Marie Colvin Center for International Reporting in her honor.
Following Colvin's death in February while reporting from Syria, the formation of the center in her honor was .
The fundraiser, set for 6 p.m. Thursday at Muléh on 30 Gansevoort Street, New York City, will feature an auction of donated artists' proofs by Lynsey Addario, Ashley Gilbertson, Ron Haviv, Ed Kashi and Seamus Murphy.
