Friday Night Candlelight Walk Will Remember Teen Who Died
Andrew Murphy was an eighth grader at Murphy Junior High.
A candlelight walk is set for Friday night to remember the Stony Brook teen who died at his home last week, The Village Times Herald reported Thursday.
Community members will gather at 7:30 p.m. at Sycamore Circle Park in Stony Brook to remember Andrew Murphy, who was an eighth grader at Murphy Junior High. People are asked to bring their own candles and wear orange, Murphy's favorite color.
Earlier this week, to help students and family members cope with Murphy's death. School principal Vincent Vizzo said in an email that the school will continue to provide support after the spring break is over.
