PHOTOS: Wang Center Exhibit Turns Trash into Art

Exhibit is on display through Nov. 6.

Students from East China Normal University in Shanghai recycled trash into art that's on display at Stony Brook University's Wang Center through Nov. 6. The New York Times reported that it serves as "a commentary on contemporary culture," with one artist saying that "there’s a growing amount of electronic waste we see in daily life" in China. According to university faculty who spoke to The New York Times, the exhibit also serves as an example of the kind of collaboration that can come of the university's new academic partnership with East China Normal University.
