Welcoming in the Year of the Rabbit.

Stony Brook's Taiwanese American Association welcomed the Chinese New Year – the Year of the Rabbit – with a celebration in music, art, movement, and food at the Wang Center on Saturday.

The event included cultural displays and interactive exhibits, Chinese paper folding, lion head painting, calligraphy, traditional games, and ancient riddles.

The stage show featured drumming, children's songs, folk dances, authentic Kung Fu, a Chinese Pipa solo performance by Jia Ge, a Chinese Yo-Yo team, a recital by soprano Yu Nan, a Han Couture fashion show by Ying Chen, and a collection of Taiwan pop songs sung by Stony Brook's own Mathew Kao.
