7:00 p.m.

Tinker (17 minutes)
After his romance with a lovely young customer falters, the owner of a mid-twentieth century repair shop must try to fix – himself. A film by Justin Plummer III and Martin Strauss.

Soft Gun – U.S. premiere (78 minutes)
Made by a group of university students looking for a summer project, Soft Gun is the story of two cousins, once inseparable, who go on a road trip together after not seeing each other for eight years. Watch the trailer here.

Genesis (18 minutes)
An old man in the Italian countryside makes new friends and rekindles old friendships as he copes with his memories in what has been described as "a mystical vignette." A film by Donatella Altieri. In Italian with subtitles.

The Tower – U.S. premiere (115 minutes)
The cracks in the facade of a family in communist East Germany begin to show as a parallel to the deteriorating police state. A young man in the shadow of his physicist father wants to become a doctor but rebelliously joins the army; his father has an affair; and his mother becomes a political activist. Based on the novel by Uwe Tellkamp. In German with subtitles.
