Patriot Marching Band Needs New Uniforms, Can You Help?

They looked sharp at their recent Hofstra performance, but these students need to update their look.

Patriot pride marched into Hofstra Stadium recently for the Newsday Marching Band Festival as they played a medley of music from James Bond flicks.

Students from Gelinas, Murphy and Ward Melville were looking dapper, but they are in need of new uniforms. You can check out their performance at Hofstra here.

Your mission, if you choose to accept, is to help fund their goal of gaining some new threads. The Three Village Educational Foundation is hosting a raffle with a grand prize of $25,000. Tickets are $100 each, steep, but entrants can share the cost of a ticket to help these students reach their goal. Time is running short, the raffle ends Nov. 7.

"The odds are great," said Laura Gustavsen, Director of Bands.  "You're 351,000 times more likely to win this raffle than the power ball and how much money have you spent on that in the past?"
