New York Voices Croon at Staller

Esteemed jazz vocal group New York Voices sang to a sold-out crowd at the Sunday night, according to Julie Rulon Greene, marketing director for the theater.

"Such a good mix of songs," she said in an email. "From 'Sing, Sing, Sing' to Paul Simon's 'Old Friends.'"

"They got a standing ovation and sang an encore," she said.

Rulon Greene said the group, know as one of the most prominent jazz vocal groups still performing today, performed both a cappella and with a backing group of drums, bass and piano.
