Local Band Jams at Park's Summer Music Series

Now college students, the foursome known as Hale Eddy has been playing together since their Gelinas Junior High School days.

Hale Eddy, an indie rock band with its roots in Three Village, entertained a crowd of about 50 people on Sunday at Frank Melville Memorial Park as part of a series of weekly outdoor music performances. The band consists of four friends who met as students at Gelinas Junior High School – Alex Cherney, Greg Casino, Ethan Geller and Kevin Choumane – who play together whenever they can despite being in different colleges now. Hale Eddy released its fourth album in June, titled "Three More Dinners," which fans can listen to at www.haleeddy.com. Here they play their song "Border Town," though one band member was unable to play on Sunday. The next musical event at Frank Melville Memorial Park will be at 5:30 p.m. on July 21.
