Free Screening of Lone Survivor For Brookhaven Veterans

Screening taking place on Feb. 4.

Veterans living in Brookhaven Town can catch a free screening of Lone Survivor, the film depicting Patchogue Navy SEAL Michael Murphy, on Feb. 4 at 12 p.m.

The film depicts Murphy, played by Taylor Kitsch, as part of a four-member SEAL team during the mission that he was killed. Murphy has been posthumously honored with a warship, numerous awards, a previously released film and even a workout named after him.

The screening is being hosted by Supervisor Ed Romaine at the AMC Loews Stony Brook 17, 2196 Nesconset Highway in Stony Brook. The film also stars Mark Wahlberg, Emile Hirsch and Ben Foster. 

Veterans who want to attend must reserve a seat by calling 631-482-4842 by Friday. Seating is limited on a first come, first serve basis. Military identification must be presented at the door for entrance.
