A documentary that celebrates the contributions of Jewish major leaguers and the special meaning that baseball has had in the lives of American Jews. By award-winning filmmaker Peter Miller (A Class Apart, Sacco and Vanzetti), it brings its stories to life through compelling interviews (among them, the legendary Al Rosen, Hank Greenberg and Sandy Koufax), commentary by sports writers, baseball managers, fans (including Larry King, Ron Howard, and two rabbis), and stunning archival materials. More than a film about sports, this is a story of immigration, assimilation, bigotry, heroism, the passing on of traditions, and the shattering of stereotypes. Narrated by Dustin Hoffman.
