For My Wife - Marriage Equality Documentary Showing

The Interweave Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Stonybrook (UUFSB) will be showing the award-winning documentary film For My Wife on Sunday, March 13 at 12:00 PM at 380 Nicolls Rd, East Setauket.  The 60-minute film tells the story of Charlene Strong who became an activist for marriage equality after experiencing discrimination by hospital and funeral home staff as her wife lay dying.  For My Wife is a universal story about love, dignity and fighting for what is right - something to which any viewer, gay or straight, can relate.

The Interweave Committee of UUFSB is a group of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Unitarian Universalists and their straight allies, who seek to promote the spiritual, social and justice goals of the LGBT community.  Admission is free and the movie is suitable for all ages.  For more information, contact UUFSB (office@uufsb.org, 631-751-0297).
