DON'T MISS: Ward Melville Alumni Return For Benefit Show

Three Village musical theater fans rejoice: The second annual "Senior Alumni Summer Recall Revue" is set for Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Ward Melville High School.

The goal of the event is to raise money for the annual school musical, which has seen its budget reduced in recent years due to the district's fiscal constraints.

One featured performer will be Kelly Waters, from the Class of 1997, who is currently on a national tour of "Sister Act."

Among the musical numbers that will be performed is the title song from "The Sound of Music," "Bring Him Home" from "Les Miserables, "Corner of the Sky" from "Pippin'" and "Be Our Guest" from "Beauty and the Beast."

Brianna Gobetz, a 2009 graduate who will be performing in the show, said she wanted to give back to the school because she had "a really amazing experience in high school."

"The musical was always a very big part of that. I really wanted to do somethig to help out," said Gobetz, who recently completed a degree in English and theater at Ithaca College. "I'm really looking forward to be able to perform one more time with some of my friends that I graduated with and I'm also looking forward to seeing how much good we can really do in the community."
