DON'T MISS: Stony Brook Film Festival Kicks Off Thursday

Festival passes and single film tickets are currently on sale.

Now in its 18th year, the Stony Brook Film Festival on Thursday starts its run of more than 30 films over ten days.

Passes to the entire festival are $80, while single tickets to each film are $9. Tickets to Thursday night's opening night party ($20-$25) are still available as well.

Filmgoers can expect a selection of foreign films, independent American films and shorts across a wide range of genres.

A number of filmmakers and actors are expected to attend the festival this year, including Stephen Dorff, Jena Malone and Chloe Sevigny, for question-and-answer sessions that will follow many of the screenings.
