What Would You Do For Three Village With $300 Million?

We want to know what you'd do if you could only spend the money to improve Three Village.

You didn’t win the Powerball Lottery on Saturday. (Or did you?) We have all dreamed about getting a windfall at one time or another and fantasized about what we’d do when we were flush with cash. But, what if someone handed us $300 million and the only stipulation was that we had to spend it on our hometown?

What would you do then?

We asked people on Facebook over the weekend what they would do if they had that kind of money and had to spend it on something in Three Village. Many had great ideas, others were fun and a few just made us laugh.

Here’s what some people had to say:

Eric Johnson: A 6 mile lazy river ride.

Noah Lam: I would investing a marketing and infrastructure to invite more investment so that more people make more money and therefore lower our own property tax in our community. Make 3V more Awesomely Awesome that it already is!

Rich Murdocco: Purchase open space, or the shopping centers along 25A to create a unified community center with a public park while maintaining current retail uses.

Rich Pagel: Buy the two boarded up homes in front of the High school #eyesore

Tracey Bouse Cicale: The School Budget, and paving these awful roads are both good ideas.

Pete Hutch: Free Yogurt 24/7

Jayne Pianforte I would make sure any kids who missed a meal or did not have a warm bed to sleep in or felt bad they did not have new clothes to wear to school were all taken care of first.

Jayne Pianforte: After that I would get a maid.

Continue the conversation. If you had $300 million to spend on Three Village, what would you do with it? Balance the school budget? Preserve an historic structure? Pave the roads? What's your idea?
