Weather Causes Early Morning Power Outage

LIPA crews restored power within hours.

Overnight storms caused tree limbs to fall on a primary power line and cut power to 113 local LIPA customers, a LIPA spokesman said Wednesday.

The outage happened at 2:36 a.m. Wednesday and affected residents of East Setauket and South Setauket, according to Mark Gross, LIPA's director of communications.

Gross said workers restored power to the area by 4:43 a.m.
