The Week Ahead: School Board, Solar Energy, Community Swim

Here's a quick preview of what's coming up this week in the Three Village community.

1. The Board of Education will meet on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Murphy Junior High School.

2. Also on Tuesday, Legis. Kara Hahn, D-Setauket, will hold an open meeting for members of the community to discuss any topic they are concerned about. It will take place at Setauket Elementary School at 7 p.m.

3. On Wednesday, Three Village residents along with non-residents can register for community swim at Ward Melville High School. Registration for residents starts at 6 p.m. and for non-residents starts at 7 p.m.

4. On Thursday at Emma S. Clark Memorial Library, an informational seminar on solar energy home installations will be held at 7 p.m.

5. The group 3VSAGE, which advocates for gifted education in Three Village schools, will meet on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Mount Elementary.

6. Saturday will be the "Great Brookhaven Clean Up" in which residents can pitch in to help beautify the town. Sign up by visiting www.brookhaven.org or calling 451-TOWN.
