The Week Ahead: Civic Association Meeting to be Held at Firehouse

Also coming up: Rummage sale, fitness event, school meetings and more.

Here is just a sampling of this week's upcoming events in the Three Village area. For more, check out our calendar.

1. The Civic Association of the Setaukets and Stony Brook will hold its regular meeting at the Setauket Fire Department headquarters on Main Street at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. School district officials will be on hand to discuss the proposed budget and the town councilman will speak on town-related issues.

2. Temple Isaiah is holding a rummage sale on Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

3. On Tuesday at 7:15 p.m., head to Emma S. Clark Memorial Library to learn how to "Get Off the Couch and Get Fit." Registration required.

4. The Strong's Neck Civic Association will meet Wednesday at the Setauket Neighborhood House at 8 p.m. On the agenda: Election of officers.

5. Upcoming school meetings this week include the Ward Melville PTSA (Monday, 7 p.m.), Murphy PTO (Wednesday, 7 p.m.), Nassakeag PTA (Wednesday, 7 p.m.), and Arrowhead PTA (Wednesday, 7:30 p.m.).

6. On Thursday at 5 p.m., local moms can head to Smith Haven Mall for "National Mom's Night Out," an evening of treats geared for moms just in time for Mother's Day.
