Shelter Pet of the Week: Meet Chewy

If you are looking for a young dog with an intelligent breed, look no further than this Border Collie mix at Save-A-Pet Adoption Center in Port Jefferson Station.

Chewy is an affectionate 1-year-old pup who loves to give kisses. She has a striking appearance, with a head of black fur and a white body with some black spots. Although she is shy at first, she will easily come out of her shell in exchange for belly rubs or a game of catch. Chewy is patient and loyal, and will sit at one’s feet waiting for attention. Due to her large size, she would be best suited in a home with older children or just adults.

Chewy is spayed, housetrained and up-to-date with her routine shots.
