Shelter Animal of the Week: Amber Needs a Home

Amber is a calm and lovable two year old dog waiting to be adopted at Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue.

This week’s shelter animal spent most of her life in a municipal shelter before she was rescued by Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue in Port Jefferson Station. Now, this friendly two-year-old Labrador retriever/pit bull mix named Amber is waiting to finally go to a real home.

Since Amber has spent much of her two years in shelters, she is a bit shy when she first meets people, but once out of her kennel she begins to show her affectionate and playful side. She is sweet and very quiet, and would do well in a home where her new companions will pet her and cuddle with her.

Amber is spayed, up-to-date on all of her routine shots, house trained, and ready for her new companion to walk into the shelter and take her home. If that new home is your own home, call Save-A-Pet at 631-473-6333, or stop by 608 Route 112, Port Jefferson Station.
