PHOTOS: Scarecrows Take Over Village Center
Various scarecrows will be on display at the Stony Brook Village center until Oct. 23 as part of the Ward Melville Heritage Organization's annual scarecrow competition.
The Ward Melvile Heritage Organizaition's annual scarecrow competition is here once again. Thirty-five scarecrows have lined the walkways in front of shops at the Stony Brook Village Center. This year the competition has a special cause: breast cancer awareness. Scarecrows decorated and dressed in pink will earn extra points in the competition.
