PHOTOS: Long Island Apple Festival Offers Old Fashioned Fun

At the Apple Festival on Sunday, families enjoyed food, entertainment, games, and lots of apples.

People from around Long Island gathered at the Sherwood-Jayne Farm in East Setauket for the Long Island Apple Festival on Sunday. They enjoyed music from the Homegrown String Band and The Habormen Barbership Chorus, and gorged themselves on various apple infused foods and fresh apple ciders.  A colonial cooking demonstration let festival-goers taste apple curry soup cooked over a wood-burning fire, and old-fashioned family fun prevailed with activities like pony rides and hay rides.
