Photo of the Day: Workers Prep Rubber Factory Houses for Move

Long-awaited Three Village Community Trust project makes progress.

This week, workers prepped the three rubber factory houses by moving them onto large pallets to be able to transport them a few blocks away to the Bruce House property at 148 Main St. The houses date back to the 1890s, when they housed immigrant workers employed at the rubber factory, which opened in Setauket during the late 1800s. to read more about the rubber factory houses.
