Patch Picks: Stop Wondering Where to Watch the Super Bowl

Starting Thursday, we'll run a new weekly feature called Patch Picks, highlighting editor and reader picks of great local businesses, destinations, services, organizations, ways to spend a day off, and more. 

You’ll find useful lists to help you, your family, friends, and significant others find the best places for everything from Sunday brunch to New Year’s Eve celebrations, pumpkin patches, date night destinations, florists, nights out with the girls, kids' party places, parks and more.

Our inaugural list of Patch Picks caters directly to the sports fans out there in Three Village on one of the biggest days of the year: Super Bowl Sunday.

• will have free beer and barbeque from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wing buckets are $10 and there will be plenty of drink specials.
• is featuring a $7 buffet that runs from 4:30 p.m. until about halftime. The buffet features wings, chili, mac and cheese and other bar foods. Drink specials include $2.50 Miller Lites and $3 bottles.
• The Patriots won't be playing in the big game, but will be in the spirit by offering Sam Adams for $3. Steeler fans will be disappointed; they don't carry Steel Reserve.
• J&R's Steakhouse offers a party ticket for $50. Partygoers receive open bar during the game and a special steak dinner.
• is setting up a new projector to watch the game on the big screen. Drink specials will be available.
