Library Spotlight: Holiday Central at Emma S. Clark

A new display at the library gives readers a head start on the holidays.

It's one of a few recent signs that Three Village has begun its ascent into holiday heaven: the new bimonthly display at Emma S. Clark Memorial Library is called "Holiday Central," and features books on food, decorating, and crafts.

Start out in a timely fashion for November with selections like The Perfect Thanksgiving Book from Lorenz Books or Thanksgiving 101 by Rick Rodgers.

The collection also includes titles like Family Crafting by Carol Scheffler and Lost Recipes by Marion Cunningham. And one that seems a fitting complement for – namely, 1,001 Wines You Must Taste Before You Die by Neil Beckett.

Among the books on healthy cooking and food tradition are, of course, celebrity cookbooks, including titles from Al Roker, Nigella Lawson, Hungry Girl and Betty Crocker.

A summary of the library's rotating book displays can be found here. The library also takes suggestions for features from its members; speak to library staff for more information on how to make a suggestion.
