Jan. 29: The Buzz on The Yellowjackets and a Dance for Israel

Here's what's happening Saturday in Three Village.

There really are tons of things happening in town – too many for our daily top five. There's music, dancing, sports, house hunting, registration for Tot's Night Out at Emma S. Clark Memorial Library – and of course enough snow to build an icy army of snowmen in your yard.

1. For more than two decades, The Yellowjackets have been a well-known name in modern jazz. They take the stage in a show sponsored by Renaissance Technologies. Kind of fitting.

2. Teens in grades 7-12 can dance the night away for a charitable cause. "Dance for Israel" at Temple Isaiah starts at 7 p.m.; see the for more details.

3. The Stony Brook men's basketball team will play the first of a three-game home stand at 3 p.m., so even if you can't head down to Pritchard Gym on Saturday to cheer for the Seawolves, you'll still have a few more chances coming up soon. Check our events calendar for more details.

4. Are you house hunting in Three Village? Coming up later, we'll bring you our weekly open house guide along with recent home sales in the area. Stay tuned.
