Event Spotlight: Career Workshop for 50 and Older Crowd

Workshop for those looking to change their career path.

Whether unemployed, looking for a career change, or just tired of working for other people, working for yourself is something most people would love to know more about.

On Tuesday from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Stony Brook Small Business Development Center, the AARP and the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA) are looking to help area residents 50 and older learn the tools they need to make working at home a possibility.  

Will Stoner, Associate State Director of the AARP and Barbara Whiting, Business Development Specialist with the SBA will be on hand to provide expert advice on business plans, start-up capital and give the opportunity to connect with successful business owners.
