The Red Tiger Dumpling House has been open since July in the Coventry Commons, offering a mix of traditional Chinese take-out and those beloved dim sum treats ... dumplings. We popped in this week to try the new eatery, ordering pork potstickers and steamed crystal shrimp dumplings and washing it down with a chilly Thai iced coffee.
Newsday also dropped by, spotlighting the eatery's soup dumplings, a delicacy you don't often find on Long Island. In case you've never had them, they are steamed dumplings that hold a tasty slurp of brothy soup inside, along with some meat. It takes coordination to eat them, but that's much of the fun.
But who cares about our review? We're more interested in whether you've tried Red Tiger since it opened. Are you fan? Tell us in the comments or add a post to our open food blog.
