Do Speed Detectors Change Your Driving Behavior?

Log in to Patch and share your thoughts as a comment.

This speed detector recently popped up on Sycamore Circle in Stony Brook's "S Section," reminding folks that the speed limit is 30 miles per hour. A handful of similar signs can be found in other parts of town, especially close to school campuses. Do you think these signs are effective in reminding drivers of the speed limit – or even changing their behavior? Would you like to see more of them in key areas around town – and if so, in which areas do you think they should go? Log in to Patch and share your thoughts as a comment below.
