Dec. 24: Holiday Shows, Holiday Shopping, Holiday Cheer

This past week, we brought you photos of the, coverage of Stony Brook's, and one reporter's take on . Now that it's Christmas Eve, bring on the visions of sugarplums and cookies for Santa...

1. In case you missed it on Thursday, check out this in Three Village. Many organizations are offering candlelight services or family workship Friday evening.

2. You can't get much more last-minute than holiday shopping on Christmas Eve. Smith Haven Mall is open from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., and check back at 10 a.m. for a guide to popular shops' holiday hours ... good luck.

3. You can play a friendly game of bridge at 10 a.m. at , but take note that the library closes at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

4. Check out a pair of holiday shows at Theatre Three in nearby Port Jefferson. Take the kids to an 11 a.m. showing of Barnaby Saves Christmas (check out an article on the play ), or grab your tickets to a 3 p.m. showing of A Christmas Carol.
