Dec. 14: Fire Commissioner Elections, School Board and Village Board

Get involved in your community Tuesday by voting for fire commissioners, attending the school board meeting or village board meeting, or helping a charitable cause.

1. Between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m., stop by the Nicolls Road firehouse to vote in the Setauket FD commissioner elections, or head to the Main Street firehouse to vote in the Stony Brook FD commissioner elections. Watch for a preview of the candidates coming later on Three Village Patch.

2. The Three Village Central School District board of education meets Tuesday night at 8 p.m. at the . On the agenda are discussions of facility usage fees and a possible new traffic light near Ward Melville High School.

3. The Village of Old Field will also conduct a board meeting Tuesday night, scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Setauket Neighborhood House.

4. In the spirit of the holidays, is holding a toy and food drive to benefit Three Village Kiwanis and Our Daily Bread at St. James Church. Stop by the Main Street office with a new, unwrapped toy or food donation between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. or call 631-360-0004 to arrange for a pick-up.
