Brookhaven Town to Hold Candlelight Vigil for Sandy Hook Victims

Inter-denominational event to start at 5 p.m.

All over Long Island people are lighting candles in memory of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, and on Friday, the Town of Brookhaven will, too.

The town council will hold a candlelight vigil in memory of the 20 children and six adults who died in the tragic shooting. The inter-denominational vigil is set for 5 p.m. at Town Hall on Friday.

The town asks that those who attend the event bring candles.
