April 29: Earthstock, Astronomy, Boys' Lax Action and More

Friday's "5 Things" is actually "6 Things."

It's been a pretty eventful week, hasn't it? That doesn't stop Friday. There's so much going on, we even had to extend this edition of "5 Things" to six.

1. wraps up at Stony Brook University, where a festival at the Academic Mall from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The lineup of events features a farmer's market, rubber duck race, performance by Peat Moss and the Fertilizers, and more.

2. A guided tour at Avalon Park at 8 p.m. will be unlike any other guided tour you can take at the park. This one's a guided tour of the . The program is free, but requires signup.

3. If you haven't checked out the , which focuses on the World's Fairs, it's open Friday through Sunday. We're hearing good things about the exhibit, which runs through the end of May.
