Here's what's happening Wednesday in Three Village.

1. Long Island Reads is an annual literacy event in which libraries across the region foster discussions and other events based on the same book. This year's selection is , and it will be the focus of discussion at 7:30 p.m. at Emma S. Clark Memorial Library. The author himself will be appearing in Southampton and Plainview on Thursday.

2. A 5 p.m. lecture at Physical Therapy and Beyond will address , from mammography to early detection and treatment of breast cancer and more.

4. At Stony Brook University, the Shirley Strum Kenny Student Arts Festival continues with a variety of events. Highlights include "Dancing with the SBU Stars" at 12:40 p.m., a campus "Iron Chef" style competition at 12:45 p.m., and an improvised music concert at 8 p.m.
