2 Local Restaurants In Running for 'Best Burger' Title

For going beyond "do you want fries with that," two local restaurants are among the top ten candidates in a "best burger" competition being conducted by Long Island Pulse magazine.

"If there is one thing Long Islanders have an opinion about, its where to get a good burger," Pulse writes, and Stony Brook's own Mirabelle Tavern and Pentimento are in the running. 

On August 4, burger lovers can head down to Patchogue's Shorefront Park to vote on the winner. An all expense paid trip to the 2014 South Beach Food & Wine Festival – not to mention island-wide bragging rights – is on the line.
