Undocumented: My journey to Princeton, Harvard, and Life as a Heart Surgeon

When Harold Fernandez was applying to college back in 1984, it wasn't an essay or the list of references that tripped him up. The problem was with his social security number. He didn't have one. He was undocumented. The author will take you through his family journey from Columbia to the United States and his rise to his current position as a heart surgeon at Stony Brook Medical School and co-director of the Heart Institute at Stony Brook Medical Center.
