Long Island Hotel to Offer Free Rooms for Active Duty Service Members and Half Off for All Veterans on Veterans Eve This Sunday

(STONY BROOK, NY) As a way to show their thanks and appreciation for those who have served and are currently serving in our military this Veterans Day, the Holiday Inn Express in Stony Brook is offering free rooms for active service members and half off rooms for all veterans this Sunday November 10th.

“Veterans Day is the perfect time to show military members and vets that we appreciate all the sacrifices that they and their families have made for us over the years”, said Major Chuck Kilbride of the Marines Toys for Tots Program. “We appreciate the gesture being made by the Holiday Inn Express, and I hope everyone makes it a point to thank a Veteran this Veterans Day”.

Veterans Day is an official United States holiday which honors people who have served in armed service also known as veterans. It is a federal holiday that is observed on November 11. It coincides with other holidays such as Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, which are celebrated in other parts of the world and also mark the anniversary of the end of World War I. (Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect.) Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day; Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving.

To take advantage of this special offer, please call Lenore Paprocky at (631) 471-8000. The Holiday Inn Express is located at 3131 Nesconset Hwy, Centereach, NY 11720.
