Crisis Counselors Needed

Response Hotline Seeks Volunteers to Answer The Call!

Free Crisis Counselor Training: Saturday and Sunday, March 9 & 10 and March 16 & 17 9:30-4:00pm in the Stony Brook Area

Volunteers make a difference in our community- one phone call at a time.  Those interested in attending should fill out an application online at www.responsehotline.org or call the hotline at 631-751-7500. Response Crisis Hotline is a nationally accredited, non-profit agency dedicated to serving Suffolk County by providing FREE, confidential crisis counseling, suicide prevention and  community education as well as connecting callers with appropriate community resources and referrals.

Other than as a professional residence, who would want to live by a driveway for that traffic? As for the entrance Village Automotive, that will bring even more traffic to an already busy intersection nearby. 25A is impassable/impossible in that area for large chunks of the day now.

Seriously? We are asked to send in enough supplies per kid each year to supply 5 kids. Where does it…Read More all go? It gets lost, thrown out, or ends up back in the students home via backpack. The problem is not the lack of supplies, but a lack of personal responsibility. But if we send in enough supplies each year for ten or fifteen students, then we might be able to avoid the underlying problem.
