Online School Test Score Access To Be Fixed on Wednesday

Your guide to what's happening in our community.

Good morning, Three Village. Here's what Wednesday looks like in Three Village:

- While school officials initially said test scores for the state math and English assessments would be available on Monday, major technical problems prevented the release of that information. The district released the following statement on its website: "The issue causing the closure of the assessment results information tab has been resolved. Beginning [Wednesday, Aug. 21], parents will be able to access their children’s scores and levels through the 'ELA and Math Assessment Module' on the Parent Portal. This resolution should have no impact on the secondary scheduling function. The district thanks the parent community for their patience and understanding as it worked to address this matter."

- Naturalist Eric Callender will be hosting a free children's activity at Frank Melville Memorial Park at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, in which he'll introduce animals such as turtles, frogs, toads, snakes and more.

- Speaking of wildlife, ever wonder about the nocturnal life at West Meadow Beach? Check out the family-friendly full moon hike at 8 p.m. at West Meadow Beach for a walk down Trustees Road. Email egerle@brookhaven.org to register for this free event.

- Mark your calendars for the next show opening at Gallery North: "Art of the Figure: An Exhibition," which starts Aug. 30.

The weather today in our area is expected to be partly sunny with a high of 87 degrees, according to weather.com.
