The rezoning is for the acres of undeveloped residential land across from Ann Maries Farm stand,Read More extending down to the wooded area on 25A. A one way entrance would be placed by Village Automotive and a one way exit would come out on N. Country Rd. adjacent to the first residential house.

everyone should research what all the school administrators are raking in and the multple levels ofRead More staff that exists at TVCSD. It is beyond reasonable to have salaries at that level and multiple administrators and assistants and directors and assistant directors and chairman etc. Teachers earn their fair share!
Reality Check May 15, 2013 at 08:01 pm
Last year we lost 20 staff...this year we are losing over 50 meanwhile the remaining staff isRead More getting a 6% raise...the UNION is eating itself and ruining our school and the BOE is not dealing with the situation..the benefits are up nearly 13% this year...what do you think will happen next year? Another 60,70,80 to be laid off? My vote is NO!!!!
prof mom May 15, 2013 at 10:05 am

Totally agree with you LS.....I and many of my neighbors are voting no on this 2013 budget and EVERYRead More budget the BOE presents until the union is dealt with!!!

I read on a different website that the health insurance for the teachers is going up two millionRead More dollars. The teachers pay 15% toward their insurance. Why not have the teachers contribute more to their health insurance payments? The writer indicated that if each teacher paid $200 more a month, the district would save $2,000,000.00! That would save a lot of classes.

This should have been reported to the police. This isn't much different from yelling fire in aRead More crowded theater. Does the theater have security cameras? If so, the person who caused this incident's image should be sought and sent to other theaters. A letter should be sent to AMC Loews corporate offices, too. This is completely unacceptable behavior on the part of the security guard, and theater policy concerning backpacks should be revised.
EG April 29, 2013 at 08:43 pm
Nobody should be allowed to take a backpack into a theater - Period! I hope you pursue this incidentRead More with corporate AMC Loews. Putting them on documented official notice of their inadacuate security policy might cause them to address the policy, for fear they could be found negligent should an actual preventable tragic incident occur.

The president of AOL doesn't have to go to the smokestack HQ. He just has to tune in to all theRead More comments on all of the Patch's that switched to the new format. We should all be scared to tell the emperor he has no clothes?
Jack Mayhoff April 28, 2013 at 06:50 am
Don't be that person that complains about the new Facebook layout then continues to use it. Do youRead More really think that by posting this they are going to revert to the old format? The president of AOL is on his way to Smokestack Lighting HQ to hold a boombox over his head outside your window and shout."Please comeback often!" Three village needs to know "where does smokestack lighting stand on these hard hitting issues!"

Horrible new format. I have no idea what to do...
lara buscatelli April 26, 2013 at 05:46 pm
There is too much blogging and opinion on the first page. It's hard to distinguish stories fromRead More blogs from opinion. It is too disorganized. The old format was much more organized and as a previous poster stated, flowed much more smoothly.
LivingSmall April 26, 2013 at 09:22 am
The new format should go the way of New Coke.

Hey Mary Ann, we intend to add that back soon. In the meantime, some browsers include an "emailRead More this page" option in their File menues. Chrome, for example, has an "Email Page Location" option.

Thank you for the feedback. We've definitely taken note of it as we continue to enhance the newRead More platform.

I commend you Congressman Bishop for the proposed legislation and I recommend that you continue toRead More push this legislation again and again. It is a shame that our government continues to handout billions of dollars to companies that are making billions on their own and don't need a public subsidy. Most importantly, drilling for oil instead of investing in new forms of energy is a clear example of the backward thinking of these corporate giants who can't see past tomorrow and are only interested in serving their stockholders and not the national interest. The subsidy does not go towards providing for our national defense. The US military stocks the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to cover our national defense needs. The Republicans in Congress are all owned by the oil companies, That is why you can't get your legislation passed. The Republican Party is the party of the business interest in this country and nothing else. Keep pushing this legislation and others like it.
Patchogue Snoop April 27, 2013 at 06:26 am
And now Mr Bishop wants to be exempt from Obamacare, including all the other hacks in Congress thatRead More rammed it down our throats. "Let them eat cake"

If the companies are doing so well, buying back their own stock and paying a dividend, why not justRead More buy the stock and use the profits to offset your fuel price? BOOYAH!
