Stony Brook Woman Dies in Pennsylvania Crash

The drivers of the three vehicles involved in Sunday's crash also were injured and taken to hospitals, state police at Fogelsville said.

A 53-year-old woman from Stony Brook was killed Sunday in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 78 eastbound in Upper Saucon, Penn., state police at Fogelsville said.

Celia Marrero, who was a passenger in a Jeep Cherokee, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lehigh County coroner.

The drivers of the vehicles were injured and taken to hospitals. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

According to state police, Sohini Dalal, 53, of Sandy Springs, GA., who was driving a Toyota Sienna, was merging into the center lane from the left lane. The car struck the Jeep, driven by Luis Cruz, 18, of Cleona, PA., travelling in the center lane.

Cruz's vehicle then struck a BMW 535i driven by William Benz, 52, of Milford, N.J., travelling in the right lane. The accident happened at 6:06 p.m.

All three vehicles were overturned in the crash. The crash is under investigation.
