Crimes Nearby: Nesconset Man Charged with Bank Robbery

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

SMITHTOWN

Andreas Dambakakis, 30, of Nesconset, was arrested Jan. 26  and charged with one count of third-degree robbery for allegedly robbing People's United Bank that morning. Suffolk County police said a man entered People's United Bank on Smithtown Boulevard in Nesconset at 8:41 a.m., handed a teller a note stating he had a gun and wanted cash, and instructed the teller to fill his black messenger bag. The man then fled the bank on foot. The exact amount stolen was not disclosed.

John Anastasiou, 28, and Jacklyn Lynch, 28, both of St. James, were arrested Jan. 19 and charged with second degree burglary and seventh degree possession of a controlled substance. They are accused of entering a residence on Clover Lane in St. James through a side door on Jan. 17 and stealing a computer and other items. They were allegedly in possession of drugs at the time of their arrest.

Nanette Rossi, 45, of Mastic, was arrested Jan. 18 in Smithtown and charged with first offense leaving the scene of an accident with an injury. Rossi was allegedly involved in an accident on Middle Country Road in Lake Grove on May 21 in which another person was injured.

PORT JEFFERSON

A 17-year old from Miller Place was arrested Jan. 21 at 10:24 p.m. in Port Jefferson Station on charges of disorderly conduct. The youth allegedly used obscene language when exiting at 1147 Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station.

Rita Pierro, 52, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested Jan. 22 at 5:30 p.m. in Port Jefferson Station on charges of leaving the scene of an accident. Pierro was reportedly driving south on Boyle Road when she allegedly crashed into another vehicle and a utility pole then left the scene.

A 17-year old from Port Jefferson was arrested Jan. 23 at 9:00 p.m. in Selden on charges of leaving the scene of and accident with property damage. On Jan. 18 at 6:20 p.m., the youth allegedly hit a 2001 Honda at Route 112 and Barnum Avenue in Port Jefferson and then left the scene.

Cara Fenoy, 29, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested Jan. 24 in Holtsville on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Fenoy was parked in a car in the Marriott Hotel parking lot in Holtsville while allegedly in possession of a controlled substance.

Brian Hallanhan, 21, of Port Jefferson, was arrested Jan. 24 at Route 347 and Woodhull Avenue in Port Jefferson Station on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Dennis Diaz, 18, of Port Jefferson, was arrested Jan. 28 in Port Jefferson Station on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Diaz was reportedly seated in a vehicle on Route 347 and Norwood Avenue, allegedly in possession of a controlled substance.

Angelo Mosquea, 21, of Bellport, was arrested Jan. 28 on Terryville Road in Port Jefferson Station on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Thomas Baxter, 24, of Patchogue, was arrested Jan. 29 at 7:17 p.m. in Port Jefferson on charges of disorderly conduct. Police reported that he and others blocked the entrance of the Upper Main Street Deli in Port Jefferson and refused to move.

A 16-year old from Port Jefferson was arrested Jan. 29 in Port Jefferson on charges of criminal mischief. The youth allegedly damaged a PVC fence on Dayton Avenue in Port Jefferson Station.

Deborah Bressack, 54, of Goshen, was arrested Jan. 29 at 11:56 p.m. on Main Street in Port Jefferson on charges of disorderly conduct. Bressack was reported to be using obscene language and causing alarm and annoyance to patrons outside of a bar.
