Crimes Nearby: Dunkin' Donuts Robbed, DVD Counterfeiter Busted

HAUPPAUGE
Two armed robbers broke into the new Dunkin Donuts in Hauppauge’s Motor Parkway Plaza on Feb. 4. Suffolk County police said two black men came into the store, openly displaying a black hand gun. The robbers took cash from Dunkin Donut's register and an employee's cell phone, according to police. The suspects then fled the store in an unknown direction.
SMITHTOWN
Xin Hu, 43, of Flushing, was arrested in Smithtown on second degree trademark counterfeiting charges. Hu allegedly was in possession of and selling counterfit DVDs of current released movies.
Reena Rashid, 25, of Islip, was arrested in Smithtown on charges of filing false business records. Rashid, an employee of a precious metal exchange located at 591 Nesconset Highway in Smithtown, allegedly intentionally omitted an entry documenting a bracelet purchase.
Jason Faraone, 37, or Ronkonkoma, was arrested in Smithtown at the intersection of Route 347 and Route 111 on charges of altering a document or plate and third degree possession of a forged instrument. Faraone allegedly altered the license plate on a 1998 Buick to look like another number.
Christopher Pace, 25, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested in Smithtown on third degree false report charges. Pace allegedly reported he had been robbed.
PORT JEFFERSON
A burglar tried to get into the Sea Port Diner by breaking into the rear door, according to police. The diner's owner discovered that someone had tried to pry the doorknob off a door and broke glass on the building at 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 23. Nothing was reported stolen.
Thomas Baxter, 24, of Patchogue, was arrested on Jan. 29 at 7:17 p.m. in Port Jefferson on charges of disorderly conduct. Police report that he and others blocked the entrance of the Upper Main Street Deli in Port Jefferson and refused to move.
Deborah Bressack, 54, of Goshen, was arrested on Jan. 29 at 11:56 p.m. on Main Street in Port Jefferson on charges of disorderly conduct. Bressack was reported to be using obscene language and causing alarm and annoyance to patrons outside of a bar.
